A few years back, Seth took a pottery lesson with his wife Lauren and didn’t know what to start off making. He realized he interacts with ashtrays more than any other object throughout a given day. He had a lot of thoughts about what they should consist of: an ample notch to rest what he’s smoking so it’s easy to pick up and put down, a deep well to dispose of ashes, and a secondary saucer to use as another ashtray or holder. He believed an ashtray should be a centerpiece, not something you make out of an old mug. Seth’s obsession for pottery grew and this ashtray became one of our best sellers because of its functionality and beautiful form.
